Soccer is the most popular sport in the world as it is played in most countries at a professional level. Players at the top of their game must have strong powerful hamstrings, quads and glutes to allow them accelerate up and down the pitch.

Core muscles must be conditioned for balance which is necessary for the constant changing of direction. Soccer speed training with Speed Bands can be used to develop the leg strength which is required at the highest level.
 
The speed and quickness of your hamstring, quad and glute muscles is accomplished by conditioning your fast twitch muscle fibres. Resistance training has been proven in the past to activate these specific muscle fibres to make athletes faster and more powerful in their chosen support. Here is a great exercise for working these muscle fibres.

Speed Bands are a great training product for soccer as they allow players to train exactly like they play. They can be worn during drills, and for all movements that the game requires so the exact muscles used are targeted and strengthened. Therefore every stride taken wearing the bands is conditioning your muscles to be quicker and more powerful.
 
Soccer is a game of speed, power and agility and using Speed Bands during your regular training exercises will take your game to the next level. Wearing the bands while doing ladder work and other speed and agility exercises as shown in the video will fire up your fast twitch muscles so you can quickly side step opponents and accelerate on.
 
The tension that the resistance bands place on the muscles develops speed, strength and power. All drills and exercises should be firstly performed using the bands and then repeated without the bands. The feeling of lightness and quickness in your legs and feet will be noticed immediately.
